God Bless My Little Girls!

These are my girls and God Bless them for they are good girls. Mommy and daddy's sweet delights! The big sister is such a nice sibling to have and our little Pearl is lucky to have her as her big sis for she truly cares about her.

We are lucky and proud parents of these two beautiful kids. We wouldn't exchange them for anything in this world. They are our sole treasure that keep us intact and strong together as a family!

They Are My Pride

Thank God for my cute precious little girls. They are my pride and my joy. Mommy and daddy's little angels. Big sister Jadyn being so good at her little sister, she feels absolutely no jealousy towards Megan. She looks after her and she even help her mommy in her small way. Megan on the other hand, the pretty and easy (well, Jadyn too when she was a baby) baby is quiet and would just sleep all day long. She'd only cry if she needs to be fed or need to be changed a diaper.

How lucky I am to have these little girls to take care of, to watch them grow and most of all to love them with all my heart! Thank You, Lord! I am so blessed with precious beautiful girls; Jadyn and Megan!

She Is A Week Old

Amazing how days gone by so quickly. Our second Princess has turned one week old yesterday at ten forty three in the morning. Yes, she is that young... that also means that it's been a week I've been losing my sleep at night. I don't know how long is this going to last but I am hoping that the baby will learn to sleep by herself pretty soon.

But anyways, I receive ample amount of compliments when I posted some photos of my little girl on Facebook. Some say she looks like her grandfather, most people commented that she got prominent nose which I agree. Its shape is different than her big sister.

Making A Snow Angel

Jadyn was being cooperative when I told her to make a snow angel. I demonstrated to her how to make it and afterwards she just voluntarily lay down in the snow and start doing it. I know my Jadyn pretty well, she is the kind of kid that doesn't want to follow what you are saying unless she likes what she's being told. Silly girl she is but I love her. Too bad dada wasn't able to capture her snow angel yesterday.

Our Temporary Curls

And this is the continuation of my previous post titled temporary curl, here are the photos of our hair after we took off the stalks that were in our head for couple of hours. Our curls look beautiful, aren't they? Huh patronizing ourselves. I am going back to my grandma's place and I make it sure I'll bring that special medication in order to keep the curls longer.

.............. myself in the first photo..then my baby below, the third one is of my little sister Alex with my lil bro Adong...

Temporary Curl

I was born to have a naturally straight hair. Some people are envious of my hair because theirs is wavy or a bit curly. I am the opposite. I always wanted to have my hair curled when I was a child. But the curls wouldn't last long, my hair would go back to being straight after just months of my treatment.

The cheapest and harmless way to curl one's hair is using yucca root (kamoteng kahoy) leaf stalks. That is what my cousin did to my mother, baby Jadyn and little sister when we went to visit my grandmother in the province last weekend. She started curling our hair at noontime and just took them of 6 hours later... and the result is amazing. It's pretty but sad to say it didn't last long.

Jadyn's Cousins

People in the photo are my baby girl's first degree cousins. They are Alexandra and Adam Sanborn. They are also half Filipinos for their mother is a Filipina  raised in America.

To those who underestimate Jadyn's nose, you know now how she will be like when she grows up. Just look at her cousins, they've grown to be pretty and attractive people especially the girl. She is only a year or two younger than me.

Just by looking at the photo, can you tell if she is half Pinay? I guess not, right? She is a lot prettier than pure blooded Americans!

Fun Time With Girl Friends

The photo above is a shot of me and my other Filipina friends at the Johnson's residence. Ate Marites, the oldest among us who is married for 26 years taught us some massage techniques that we could apply to our husband. She also taught us some valuable tips on how to keep the marriage going. I admire her for being humble and helpful for us who just started building our own family. I take her as an example so my marriage will prosper and last a lifetime.

Can you tell just by looking at the photo that we had so much fun being together at the same time learning how to massage our spouses? I really had a blast that night that I wasn't ready to go home but we had to, it was getting late and I don't want my husband thinking about me taking advantage of the chance I was out of the house.

My First Patriotic Act

I am supposed to post these photos of us attending the tea party last weekend but I kept forgetting doing it. These are photos of us at the tea party held at the Convention Center in Fort Worth last Saturday. It was my first time to attend such event. As an American citizen I ought to know what is going on in the country and the current event.

Before I wasn't naturalized yet, I couldn't care less about the country but my points of view changed when I became one. I somehow feel that I should voice out my concern and be concern of the country itself for I am living here and I am one of the citizens that seeks the truth.

...photo above is of me wearing the shirt we bought at the convention center saying: I believe ILLEGAL MEANS ILLEGAL...oh yeah baby! we've worked hard on our papers for so long to make me legal living in this country but those Mexicans who don't have pride for themselves just climb the border and make a living in the U.S

I'm Officially A U.S Citizen Now

I am overwhelmed of the BIGGEST GIFT I acquired in my entire life. Today is the very day I became a U.S Citizen, I can now call myself "legally blond". I have the same rights and responsibilities as people who were born and naturalized here. How fortunate I am to be able to acquire the citizenship of the most powerful country in the world? If it's a dream, I don't wanna wake up for I would only be devastated if I know it isn't real. Everything seems surreal to me. Oh Lord, thank You!

Hired Mexican Workers

I ought to post these photos a long time ago but for some reason I kept holding them up. Since I feel like posting them today, let me go ahead and explain what's going on in these photos.

It was my husband's idea to put concrete in the backyard so we don't have to walk on the dirt when we go around the house, another thing is that he wants to put a back porch so we can sit comfortably outside during Fall and Spring when the weather is nice. I must admit, I was quite reluctant at first because it bothers me how expensive it would cost him for that project. 5,125 US dollars is the total amount after all the job is done this of course including the cost of the fence.

These are days during the construction of concrete pavement and metal fence pools, very far from finishing...took them 4 days to completely make the job done.
...... leveling the ground, removing the old bricks that were in there and put some dirt to make it plain
.... such a big job that my husband needs to hire a couple of workers to do it in behalf of him...
... the new old fence will go right here giving us privacy from the neighbors...
...... this is the front view of the side fence taken from the outside...

...last but the least, obviously this is going to be concrete here too

A Nice Woman

This is us with Lisa taken last July 19, 2010 @ Union Hotel downtown Benicia. Lisa is my father inlaw's step daughter. I have heard a lot of her before and when we met, she proved to me that she is indeed a nice woman.

She is the kind of woman whom you can just be comfortable as your conversation progress. She is a mother of three and for that I have various reasons why talking to her is a whole lotta fun. Apart from that, she knows how to get a child's trust.

My baby girl liked her too. They played a bit and guess what? Jadyn loved playing with her.

Recent Couple Photo

Obviously we were at a funeral in these photos for we both wearing black. It's the latest shot of me and my husband and I'd like to post it here for keepsake. Do you notice the flag he is holding? He received a flag in his father's funeral because his late father Morgan William Sanborn was a US Air Force veteran. He was given a military honor to salute for his service of his country, the United States of America.

Sorry for the sad look in my face here. I am saddened of the great loss we had. I can no longer see my dear father-in law that is why I couldn't afford to smile during his funeral.

......... yes that's my husband above who I proudly say he's a good looking man! Palag? Piti ka!

Just Being Silly

I am not a trying hard poser. I don't like looking pa cute cute in photographs for I find it too much when you try to pose that makes you looks OA. Lately I find myself making fun of my face when taking a picture. Just being silly is cool of course I know when to behave and when to get serious. If it's just plain picture taking then I'll be cool with making monkey faces.

Latest Photos of My Little Granny

In case you are wondering who little granny is, she's my Jadyn who was born yesterday and now became a granny just because she loves wearing her dada's eyeglasses. I don't like her doing it but sometimes she is too stubborn to be stopped from ruining her eyes. Little granny is only 2 years old yet she looks in the 60s already.

The Magic Of Ordinary Days

This is how we look in ordinary days. We are one small happy family that finds great pleasure just being together as a family doing things around the house. As long as we are healthy and baby is happy, I am cool with it. I am the type of person that is easy to please, having my great family is big enough to celebrate life and thankful to God above. I don't care if the world turns its back on me, as long as my family is with me then that is what matters to me most. Blessed and contented is me, indeed!

.......... could not ask for more.. I have everything I ever wanted!!!

This Cool Car

Yesterday we went to an auto show nearby. I was quite disappointed when we entered the exhibit hall for I truly expected we can see plenty of classic sports car. As we entered the hall, all we could see at first were just ordinary everyday cars from Toyota, Buick, BMW and other auto manufacturers. So anyways, we went ahead and roam around the huge hall they have until I was slowly having fun. There were few cars that I thought were cool but did not take picture of them until I saw this volkswagen in cool colors.

I know it when I like something for I cannot take my eyes off it or take a picture on that thing so I can look at it over and over again. So here, you find myself smiling with the volks I like.

........... cool ride eh but only in my dreams I can have this...

Expecting Some Snow

Attached are more photos during the snow last week. I haven't been able to share a lot of snow pics on my blogs here so I thought of sharing them today.

According to the forecast, Texas is going to have another round of s now tomorrow but it won't be as heavy as last week's snowfall. Fine enough as long as we can see some white dusting again before the Winter ends. This is what I love about Texas, we can get some snow occasionally and it never will be a burden for Texans for it just melts in the next day. Awesome God for making all this!

....Baby Deden working on our unique snow figure
........ it was 8 inches thick when I took this photo and the snow hasn't stopped yet so the total accumulation was 10 inches
....... she looks very pretty when out in the snow for her cheeks turned red
......... putting my baby to work haha..child labor ni
..... playing near her dada's trailer
