CHARLESTON TRIP

I looked into CLEAR bundle prices and we decided to switch over to them. I made an appointment for early next week. We are going to be out of town at the end of the week, so they have to come out next week. We are actually taking a really fun trip this weekend. We are going to Charleston, South Carolina. They recently put in more terminals in the airport and Southwest flies there, so you can get there for a lot cheaper than you used to be able to. We haven’t been to Charleston in years.

There are a lot of things that I am looking forward to doing. We have rented a condo on King Street, where there are lots of shops and places to eat. We have reservations at one of the top rated places in the country, Husk. It has gotten rave reviews. My husband and I are big foodies. I think that it is what we are looking forward to the most. I think that it is going to be a blast. We also are going to give some of our friends that live there a call and meet up with them for a drink.

Dreams For Our Kids

We do have dreams for our kids. Few of which are for our first born to learn Kung Fu, that's her father's idea and I want her to at least became familiar with any musical instruments such as the keyboards. Growing up so poor, I didn't have a chance to learn anything that has something to do with music. Now that I have children, I want them to be able to explore the world of music and have a talent to be proud of. I would be very happy if Jadyn learns how to play the piano or the keyboard. It would be another big dream come true for me.

The Love Of Shoes

I used to love shopping for shoes a lot. It was my first thing to be addicted of and then years later I realized I got too many pairs of them so I kind of stopped buying for shoes. Nowadays, it isn't economical to keep buying for new pairs while in fact I still got a few new pairs with tags still on. But if I were to choose shopping for a new one, I would go buy for bass shoes because of their durability, classic look and comfort. Why would I go for stylish high-heeled shoes when I'm the one to suffer walking with them so uncomfortable and give me blisters?

Nursing Scrubs

I think nurses wearing nursing scrubs with colorful and playful designs make them lovable in the eyes of their patients especially the children. If they wear just plain white uniforms, it would be easier for sick kids to associate them as BAD nurses for you know, when they enter in patients' room the first thing they could do is to poke them with needles. That is what happened to my Jadyn when she got hospitalized in the Philippines a year ago that traumatized her. Poor girl.

Maybe Someday

Maybe someday I will be motivated to take my driving seriously. I would be the happiest person on Earth if I can finally get my driver's license. Even that happens, I would still need to study the map or get more familiar with the roads and streets in this city so I won't get lost. I can use a handheld garmin gps alright, but even if I use it I would still be lost for I probably doesn't know how to follow the directions it says haha! So dumb of me. If we live in the country, I would for sure knows the direction for it wouldn't be too complicated over there for sure.

I recently got promoted at work, which is awesome. I got a great new title, a nice increase in salary, and the ability to make a much bigger contribution to my company. All in all, it’s everything I’ve ever wanted. The one downside is that I need to relocate to take the new position. While it’s a little exciting being able to pick up and move across the country to Texas with just my husband, it’s also a little terrifying. I won’t know anyone there, and having to leave all of my family and friends has caused more than one near emotional breakdown. I’m trying to look at this like a huge new adventure, and I’m doing my best to stay really excited about the great opportunity. There is one pretty great part to moving to Texas.

My husband has been researching pretty much everything about the state (no, seriously, it is getting a little bit out of control. He knows the state bird. Which I don’t think is necessary, personally and he came across Shop electricity rates TEXAS. It turns out, we’ll be able to shop around for a natural gas provider there and can save a ton of money. Looks like my increase in salary is going to stretch even further. Not bad.

Easy To Carry

When I went to the gym in the Philippines, I could remember the women who joined yoga at the same gym I went to didn't have their own yoga mats. They rely on the gym's own yoga mats which is so gross because a lot of people have used it leaving stains and marks of their sweat on the mats. It would have been hygienic if they brought their own yoga mat places in yoga mat bags so it will be easier for them to carry in and out of the gym. That way they don't have to lay on someone's gross sweat!

Long Distance Relationship

I am happy for my brother and his wife and son because they are now reunited in Iceland. He arrived there two days ago! I can only imagine the sacrifices they made and how much they missed each other for they have been in a long distance relationship for over a year. I can relate to this for we too, my husband and I were once in the same situation 7 years ago.

We got married in the Philippines and waited for the spousal visa for 9 months for the immigration to approve our application. The whole time we were separated as a couple was difficult although we maintained constant communication but that didn't seem enough for us. There were a few occasions we missed celebrating together just because we were thousands of miles apart. Birthdays, Christmas and our first wedding anniversary were missed but he never failed sending flowers by post each time there is an occasion coming.

He would order it on the internet and he would always choose big red roses in a vase for his wife. How flattering that was! He knew I love red roses that is why he would only send me red roses and usually a dozen of it.

After 9 months of waiting, we were able to join together here in the U.S and we couldn't be happier. We now live in our own house with a yard large enough to plant lots of flowers and make a vegetable garden. I love gardening so growing fresh vegetables and roses and other types of flowering plants is not a problem to me.

No Basements In Texas

I do have a lot of friends living in other states. I do have circle of friends too and sometimes we talk about home renovation or home remodeling and we even talk about basements. We asked ourselves why houses in Texas have no basements at all. Unlike in other states, it would be unusual for a house without one.

I asked some of my friends who live in Iowa and other neighboring states if they do have basements, they all said yes. In fact, there is this friend who just had their basement installed with a basement floor tile for they were tired of their old ancient basement laminate floor.

Friend alone

I have a great friend. We have wonderful lunch dates and wonderful talks on the phone. She is always a joy to be around. However this past year has been very hard. Her husband died suddenly and she was left alone. No one plans to be left so suddenly. Obviously, the sudden death was the hardest part, but what she didn’t realize was how hard it is to be alone. The quiet nights make her sad from missing him, but also scared that he can’t protect her. I finally convinced her to get an alarm from SECURITY choice. At least with the alarm, she would start to feel safe again.

It is always so hard to watch someone go through something difficult. You want with all of your strength to make it better and to take away the pain, but sometimes there is nothing you can do. The most I can do is continue to be there for her and continue to keep her company. I just have to stay the friend I have always been and continue to be the friend I would want her to be.

He Is Taking A Guitar Lesson

None in our family plays any kind of musical instruments. That is why I admire people that can play a musical instrument. Speaking of that, my brother currently taking guitar lessons in the Philippines preferably an electric guitar. He likes metal music and that he dreams of becoming a rocker, not a famous one but a rocker that can at least knows hot to play a guitar. Annoying

Sometime in my husband's life, he was annoyed by a debt collection agency. His ex-wife left him a huge debt which he was not willing to pay. For years he tried to forget the debt but the annoying debt collection agency always reminded him but eventually they probably got tired of bugging him, they stopped. I can only understand how he felt that time, being harassed by somebody wanting your money would be sickening.

Stressed

I am in Davao right now and will be here until maybe Wednesday of next week. I am so tired and still has jetlag plus I haven't gotten an 8-hour sleep 'coz of the vigil we do for our father. I am so stressed, dizzy and weak. I wish when things are over, I will be able to rest and get that pampering bath in the tub using seaweed products from seaweedbathco to be better. Looking forward going home in Texas to be with my husband my little Megan. I miss them both now big time!

We were driving one time and on our way home in the highway, I saw a man holding something in his hand and he looked like as if he was looking for something.
